Poll Worker Information
Per Georgia Law, a Poll Official shall be:
No one shall serve as a poll officer at a precinct where their name appears on the ballot. No one who serves in public office can serve as a poll worker. Also, a parent, spouse, child, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, or sister-in-law of a candidate shall not be eligible to serve as a poll officer in any precinct in which such candidate's name appears on the ballot in any primary or election.

From time to time the Heard County Board of Elections and Registration hires new poll workers for elections. If you are interested in becoming a poll worker, contact the Elections and Registration Office.

1: A judicious, intelligent, and upright citizen of the United States
2: A resident or employee of the county in which they hold the poll
3: 16 years of age or older
4: Able to read and write the English language
