Now Accepting Applications for
Full Time Mechanic at Heard County Vehicle Maintenance

The Heard County Board Of Commissioners will be accepting applications for the position of Mechanic for the Heard County Vehicle Maintenance Shop.

This is a full time, first shift position (6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) with a 40-hour work week. Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing vehicle maintenance on a regular schedule, performing oil changes, tire changes, brake repairs, and basic maintenance. This position does require heavy lifting.

The applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repairs, and a valid driver’s license. The applicant must agree to a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check. Salary based upon experience; medical benefits available after 60 days of employment.
