Commissioners Approved the change in Regularly
Scheduled Monthly meetings
For 2012. New Change Effective
January 12, 2012
One meeting will be held
On the 4th Thursday
of each month.
The next monthly meeting will be
Thursday, January 26, 2012
at 6:30 p.m.
In The Courtroom of the
Heard County Courthouse.
New! Heard County and the
Cities of Centralhatchee, Ephesus, and Franklin are
updating their joint Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan (PDMP).

Emergency Notification System
Heard County has instituted the
CodeRED Emergency Notification System - an ultra
high-speed telephone communication service for
emergency notifications. This system allows us to
telephone all or targeted areas of the county in
case of an emergency situation that requires
immediate action.
The system is capable of dialing
50,000 phone numbers per hour. It then delivers our
recorded message to a live person or an answering
machine, making three attempts to connect to any
number.
